Guns are weapons designed to kill. Guns have transformed our most basic values and social interactions. Guns are at the very centre of global conversations. Guns are symbols of protection for some, of power and aggression for others.
In this series of scanographs, I explore this symbolism and invite you to reflect upon the emotional reactions that may be triggered by these images.
Inspired by Düsseldorf School artists such as photographer Andreas Gursky and painter Gerhard Richter, I often choose to depict the perplexing aspects of the human condition and the sublime beauty of the ordinary in my work.
